Here Tamsin Van Essen peels back that plaster nice and slow in these graphic ceramics. Using ‘foreign’ materials in the clay, Van Essen successfully created crockery fit for human use that echoes the DNA structures of cells more sinister like Salmonella and Streptococcus. Pretty.
