Twenty eight schoolgirls have been hospitalised with anxiety attacks after  reportedly playing with a Ouija board at their school in Colombia. It’s like the 90’s all over again!

According to Jam Press, the girls began fainting and exhibiting signs of anxiety at school, freaking out their teachers in the process. They were subsequently admitted to a municipal hospital accompanied by parents and school faculty.

Further details on the students’ diagnoses are yet to be released, however many parents blame the in-school use of Ouija boards, which believe it or not has a copyright which is now owned by Hasbro. Hasbro! Not even the supernatural is safe from capitalism, it seems.

Hugo Torres, head of the Galeras Educational Institution in Galeras, confirmed:

There were 28 possible cases of anxiety in school students.

Given the reported cases, a series of comments were unleashed on the community that, rather than helping to resolve the situation, led to confusion and an adverse environment for our work.

The school is waiting for the medical diagnoses to provide further reliable information

His face in that picture sums it all up really. Poor guy is probably convinced these girls were just trying to skip school. Probably watched the Conjuring at a sleepover and let their imaginations run wild. I mean, let’s face it – these girls blatantly had anxiety long before they came into contact with any Ouija board. How do you even fit 28 people around a Ouija board anyway?

Of course, this story is great advertising for Ouija board itself and will probably result in a resurgence in its popularity. As for these girls, maybe they should stick to Spin The Bottle from now on. Never forget:
