You’ve probably heard of the Missed Connections section of Craigslist – or seen a similar section in the Metro – but in case you haven’t it’s where people go to try and hook up with people who probably have no clue that they even exist. I mean seriously, how desperate do you have to be to think that it might actually work? Even more desperate than the thirstiest men of Instagram I would imagine.

Credibility was pushed to the limit with this recent post on the site in North Carolina. Granted, there are probably a lot of redneck hicks living in North Carolina, but even so, I’m having trouble believing that the below post is actually real because I can’t honestly believe that anyone would have the audacity to hit on a nurse who just delivered his wife’s baby. The world is full of surprises though. Here’s the listing:

This is probably a long shot but you were the nurse taking care of my wife while she was having our baby. I enjoyed our eye contact and would really like to talk to you more. Maybe tomorrow I will be there most of the day and I will bump in to you in the hall way or see you at the nurse station.

Wow. Wonder if that worked out for him?
