Following the worldwide success of horror-comedy ‘Zombieland’ back in 2009, there have been rumours and teasers circulating that we would be treated to a sequel.

Last year our hopes were raised that little bit more after it was rumoured that they were going to start casting for ‘Zombieland 2’ in summer. However, one of the movie’s main stars, Woody Harrelson, has just smashed those dreams into smithereens by claiming that he’s not even sure if the sequel will ever get off the ground and even if it does, he reckons that it will never top the success of the first one. Well yeah, that’s often the way these things go Woody, but you could at least pretend like it’s going to be a smasher.

The team behind the hit comedy are still claiming that it is in development, but as said, Woody’s not all that sure:

It’ll probably happen, that’s what I can tell you, but I can’t tell you for sure because I’m not sure if it will.

I really loved the first one and the reason I don’t say it definitely will happen is I want to make sure, and a lot of people want to make sure, it’s as good as the last one.

I don’t expect it will be better but I’d like it to be as good, otherwise it would be disappointing.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on a Friday. I suppose Woody’s just being realistic, but there’s still no reason to be a downer about such a highly anticipated movie. I reckon he’s just grumpy after giving up the weed.
