Over in Maine, a 38 year old woman named Emily Wilson has been charged for shooting at her husband after the two had an argument.

The story is funny and relevant though because she was wearing a t-shirt saying ‘stop domestic violence’, whilst probably taking part in what can only be described as some of the most serious domestic violence that there can be. Wilson was booked into the police station wearing the t-shirt, which you can clearly see in the mug shot provided below:
She had got into an argument with her husband over his alleged infidelity and it was sometime during this that she grabbed a .45 caliber pistol and fired it into the bed that the two shared. The husband wasn’t hurt but he was sufficiently spooked to call the police and they showed up and arrested Emily.
She’s now facing a five year prison sentence in addition to several fines. It might sound harsh, but I suppose if you want to stop domestic violence then you need to make sure the punishment fits the crime, and I’m sure Emily would fully back that given her traditional stance on the subject.
