It’s long been rumoured that Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff would be appearing at Glastonbury one year, but it turns out that they couldn’t wait that long and have instead decided to headline their own UK festival.

Livewire Festival is taking place in Blackpool on August 27th this year and will be headlined by Will and Jeff alongside The Jacksons and The Hit Factory on the Friday and Saturday respectively. Kinda weird that Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff would begin their comeback in a shithole like Blackpool at a festival nobody has ever heard of, but I suppose money talks when it comes to these things.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow at 10am. Not sure how much they cost, but if you don’t fancy trekking to Blackpool for this then the pair are playing at the MTV Summerblast festival in Croatia the night before, which seems to be a more attractive proposition to me. Probably slightly pricier though.

Yeah, so it seems like they really are playing in Blackpool and it isn’t just some dumb joke. Crazy huh? Probably going to be the event of the decade up there. Would say I can’t wait but can’t realistically see myself attending. I’m sure it will be completely sick for all those who do though.
