This protester got totally inventive with her metaphors this week as she threw a massive dildo at New Zealand politician Steven Joyce. The reason she gave was that he is ‘raping their country’ although I reckon it was mostly to do with the fact that it’s pretty funny to watch a politician get walloped round the face with a rubber dick.

The New Zealand National Party member (centre-right, in case you were wondering) was having a serious conversation with some journalists before he came under attack by the angry campaigner who said:

That’s for raping our sovereignty. That’s for raping our country, because of the TPPA and selling away our rights and our freedom.

To give you a little background, the penis-yielding activist was referring to the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership, which was signed this week. It involves a deal between eleven Asian and Pacific-rim countries, including the US. The whole thing has come under fire as locals speculate that it will be harder for the New Zealand government to look after the environment and public health.

Anyway, Steven didn’t really seem too phased by it and actually thought the whole thing was pretty Lolz. I’d just be worrying whether it had been washed beforehand.

He said:

Fair to say, I don’t think those sorts of things happen every day.

We actually thought it was a little bit humorous at the end of it all…new experiences in politics every day, it’s the privilege of serving.
