It seems like everything that you actually enjoy doing is actually really bad for you and this new study has found another one right here. Fantastic.

New information has revealed that as little as two beers a day can increase your chances of bowel cancer by 21%. If you drink more than that, then you’ve also got liver, pancreatic, oesophageal and stomach cancer to worry about as well.

These are the five most common cancers in the world and they cause almost three million deaths a year, which is a third of all cancer related deaths. Dr Lisa Wilde of Bowel Cancer UK, said the following:

We know that 41,200 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year, it’s the fourth most common cancer in the UK.

There are several known factors that increase your risk of getting the disease.

Some of these are things you can’t do anything about, for example, age and genetics.

But you can make changes to your lifestyle to help stack the odds against bowel cancer.

As well as cutting down on alcohol, also being a healthy weight, taking more exercise and stopping smoking will make a real difference.

Think we all knew those guidelines were coming didn’t we? Strict new drinking limits were introduced earlier this year two, with a man’s recommended intake being 14 units which is the same as a woman’s. That’s just six pints a week, which I’m sure most of us are probably drinking in a night. If you wanna lower your chances of bowel cancer though, you should probably cut down – just saying.

It’s not all bad news though – some people are saying marijuana is the cancer cure of the future. Sounds good to me.
