It’s always really sad when you’ve got to say goodbye to your family dog. But Victor Flores from Austin, Texas, wasn’t going to let the sad occasion get in the way of giving their Beagle Daisy the best send off in history, in celebration of her long happy life.

Daisy was 13-years-old, which we all know is pretty old in dog years. Because of her fragile state, she ruptured a disk in her back and lost control of the lower half of her body. Since she was too old for surgery, with some intervention of a vet, they made the difficult decision of putting her down. Flores said:

Daisy was our first dog. I remember getting her for Christmas when I was nine-years-old.

As said, instead of moping, Victor and his family gave Daisy the royal treatment to ensure she had the best last day possible.

The day started off with bacon:

Then it was time for a walk around the neighbourhood:

And the day ended with a huge chicken dinner:

Victor added:

Besides the good food and the walks around the neighborhood, we also made sure she was as comfortable as possible and most of our family stopped by to say goodbye.

If that doesn’t bring a tear to your eye then your heart is literally made of stone. Hats off to Victor and his mum for giving Daisy the best life possible.
