The only thing more annoying than having a takeaway place mess up your order, is not being included in the order to begin with. Still you’d probably respond to that by sulking for a while or maybe just getting on the phone and ordering your own damn food. Not Ronald Pritchett of Purvis, Mississippi though.

The 32-year-old lost the plot on his parents after he realised they ordered takeaway without him, and scared them so much they locked themselves in their bathroom. Ronald bashed the door down and stabbed them both.

A police spokesman said:

They ordered food from a fast food restaurant and didn’t include him.

His father died from his injuries, while his mum remains injured. Their eldest son (the sensible one I imagine) said:

Nobody expects this type of thing to happen to their family. When somebody takes your dad’s life, completely short, from the way it’s supposed to be, then you’re not prepared for that. He’s not prepared for that because that’s not how it was supposed to end.

Indeed. Ronald was arrested and will be facing murder charges.

Personally alarm bells would have started ringing for me the moment my son got a daft tattoo in between his eyebrows. Never mind the fact he’s 32 and living with mum and dad.

But if your son’s the type of person to go on a murderous rampage because you didn’t order him any pizza, isn’t that something you would already know about him? You’d at least give him the heads up that you were ordering food, wouldn’t you?

Not trying to excuse his reaction obviously, just trying to figure out the family dynamic. I suppose it doesn’t really matter at this point. RIP Ronald’s dad, and Ronald… you’re fucked.
