Watch This Fast Acting Security Guard Shoot Down An Armed Bank Robber
The endless debate about security guards and police shooting first and asking questions later over in America continues to rumble on and it’s doubtful that it will ever be resolved given the propensity of videos like the one below to emerge on an almost daily basis.

This time, we’re in Winnebago County Illinois, where a guy named Laurence Turner is attempting to rob a bank wearing a ski mask whilst high on drugs. Apparently he’s done it a couple of times and has been pretty successful, but he wasn’t reckoning with security guard Brian Harrison.
As soon as Turner stormed into the bank, Harrison whipped out his pistol and unloaded a shot right into his chest, and then one into his butt on his way out too for good measure. Turner died shortly afterwards.
Justified? Take a look at the video below and make your own mind up:
As said in the video, Harrison has been praised for his quick thinking and labelled a hero and won’t face any murder charges either.
Not really too sure how to feel about it myself. Harrison definitely shoots firsts and asks questions later and it’s possible he could have defused the situation without using his weapon, but Turner undoubtedly posed a threat to him and everyone else in the bank and could quite easily have shot someone had Harrison not acted so quickly. He could not have shot him on the butt on the way out as well, but again I suppose it’s reasonable to think that he might have fired off his gun whilst lying around injured on the floor.
I guess I’ve gotta give it to him because you don’t know what might have happened had he not reacted. Not particularly happy about it though. At least it seems a bit more justified than police shootings like this one. Absolutely ridiculous.
