Ever since the animated Deadpool short which may or may not have featured Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Deadpool came out about a year ago, fans have been clamouring to see the live action movie of the comic book actually happen.

Their wish was finally granted a couple of weeks ago when it was revealed that production had started on the movie and Ryan Reynolds would indeed be playing the iconic character. Naturally people couldn’t be happier, until a rumour started going around that it was going to be rated PG-13 (12/PG over here) in America which made a lot of people mad because obviously Deadpool is famous for brutally killing people, having a foul mouth and generally being an all round loveable asshole.

This tactic would fit in with Marvel’s current policy of making their movies viewable to as many people as possible in order to make as much money as possible, so it wasn’t exactly out of the realms of possibility and unfortunately was kinda believable to a lot of people. Fortunately for us, in an exclusive interview with none other than Mario Lopez from Saved By The Bell (which wasn’t quite as innocent as it seemed), Ryan Reynolds revealed that it’s going to be rated R (18/15 in America) by actually killing Mario Lopez in his Deadpool costume, which is exactly how it should have been done and couldn’t really have been any more perfect.

Can’t wait for this, especially after this promo which absolutely nailed it.
