A restaurant owner over in the U.S. has sparked controversy after setting up a sign on the outside of his establishment that read “Muslims get out.”

Quite rightly, a group of protestors from various faiths gathered around the Treats Family Restaurant with banners that stated “Love trumps hate” while attempting to pull down the sign themselves.

The owner, Dan Ruedinger, tried to defend his move with the dumbest excuse ever. He said:

I didn’t want to put ‘terrorists’ on the board. So we were going to put ‘Muslim extremists’, but we didn’t have room on the board.

Now, people started taking it the wrong way, thinking we were against Muslims in general, and we’re not.

Quite the opposite. We are not racists.

Well yeah, you are. I don’t think the protesters can be blamed for “taking it the wrong way” when the sign quite literally told Muslims to get out. He spewed even more bullshit to another news station:

With all the bombs and shootings we’ve had, we’re supposed to welcome refugees here who want to kill us? This has nothing to do with race, it has to do with a religion of hatred that preaches violence.

Some Muslims are good people and want a better life. They need to step up, take control and hold the others accountable.

Honestly, what is he on about saying they need to “step up and take control”? Who is he even talking about? The many refugees who are fleeing to the west to AVOID ISIS and terrorist attacks? Get a brain mate.

Anyway, looks like he’s really stitched himself up with the move as his Facebook page has been inundated with hate-filled comments and a load of people are refusing to now eat at the restaurant. Good one mate.
