I don’t really think there’s anything more gross than drinking pickle juice, but sometimes you get that one wanker who insists on doing shots with a pickle juice chaser – I think it’s called a pickleback.

Anyway, that guy can stop bothering me to do that with him now and just get on with drinking cans of the crap, as a company has actually decided that they think it would be a really good idea to start selling pickle juice in cans. Yuck.

Gordy’s Pickle Jar – a company based out of Washington D.C. – has announced that they’re going to sell what they’re terming ‘Fine Brine,’ which is basically pickle juice in a can. I’m wretching just thinking about it.

So basically everyone out there who used to enjoy stealing sips of pickle juice from the jar no longer has to, as they can crack open a can of Fine Brine and disgust people even more. Excellent.

In case you’re wondering, the pickle juice is designed specifically for cocktails so it’s got a slightly spicy flavour. Apparently you can use it for not just cocktails, but homemade salad dressing too. Or even add it to mayonnaise for a killer sandwich spread. Thanks but no thanks.

Company founder Sarah Gordon said the following:

It’s literally a burst of acid and flavour all in one that brightens cocktails and dishes in a very subtle, balanced way. It rounds out cocktails and cooking recipes similar to how a pinch of salt does.

Yeah, again, I’ll believe it when I see it. Or rather don’t. If you’re someone that’s interested in this though it is now available to purchase online, so I guess it’s your lucky day.
