Photographer Captures The Army Of Felines On Japan’s Cat Island

I’m sure many of you have heard of Japan’s ‘Cat Island’ by now. For those of you who haven’t, this remote island sits off the southern coast of Japan and it is literally filled with felines. As it stands, around 120 cats live on the island, outnumbering humans 6 to 1.

The cats were brought to the area originally to simply kill mice living on the locals’ boats, but they started to breed and, well, things got a little out of hand. See for yourself:
