Untouched Paris Apartment Discovered After 70 Years, Includes $3.4 Million Painting

In what can only be described as an extremely stereotypical move, some French socialite ran away from World War II to the south of France leaving a lot of her bits and bobs behind in an old flat. That was in 1942 and now – 70 years on – that flat has been discovered untouched and containing a whole bunch of cool and expensive looking antiques.

These include a painting worth $3.4 million. Unfortunately, I don’t think her pet ostrich made it, but it did die looking fabulous.
