After rumors circulating last year that Napoleon Dynamite would be re-appearing on our screens, well they have now become a thing of the past. The teenager who boasts more ‘skills’ than any other human being is back, to potentially save 2012. The film received rave reviews in 2004 and went down in history not only for its quality but bringing what was perhaps the most expert dance routine ever witnessed, bow down Bruno Tonioli. No need to constantly watch your DVD over and over again people, Napoleon Dynamite is back!

Fox are bringing Napoleon back in animated form, featuring original cast member voices. All the old favorites are set to return, Napoleon himself voiced by Jon Heder,  Efren Ramirez as Pedro, Aaron Ruell as Kip, Jon Gries as Uncle Rico and hopefully Tina the Llama. Jared Hess the original films co-writer is on board as well as long standing animation Simpsons exec producer Mike Scully who is offering his writing and producing skills.

Here’s the first look trailer for the series which premiers on Fox in the U.S early next year, look out for it on our screens soon after. Lets hope its not a flop or I’ll be spending my summer with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines!
