Fresh from his idea to ban Muslims from entering the United States and his subsequent ‘disqualification’ (only not really) from the Presidential race, Donald Trump now has even more problems as British MPs will be forced to debate whether or not to ban him from the UK.

That’s because a petition to do so has smashed its 100,000 signature target (it’s on around 245,000 at the time of writing) in less than a day, which means that the House Of Commons will be required to debate the issue. It was launched by long term Trump critic Suzanne Kelly, who wrote the following:

The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK.

If the United Kingdom is to continue applying the ‘unacceptable behaviour’ criteria to those who wish to enter its borders, it must be fairly applied to the rich as well as poor, and the weak as well as powerful.

It’s fair enough really – you can’t really argue that Donald Trump is a racist buffoon, can you?

What’s more, it might actually go somewhere as most politicians over here have condemned Trump’s recent ideas, with even David Cameron saying they were ‘divisive, unhelpful and simply wrong.’ Corbyn, Sturgeon and Farron all had similar quotes about him too, so it seems like that’s one thing here that politicians can agree on.

Unfortunately, although George Osborne too said that Trump’s remarks were ‘at odds with America’s family values and complete nonsense’, he didn’t think there was any reason to bar him from the UK. He thinks it would be better to challenge his views, because we all know how much that is going to achieve.

Still, with seemingly everyone in opposition with him we can but hope. If you need any more evidence of why Trump is an imbecile, check out the video below:
