Last week we bought you news of McDonald’s latest creation – the Gilroy Garlic fries, which are basically some garlic cheese fries which use the best garlic in the world.

The fries were trialled in four restaurants in San Francisco with the promise that if they proved popular then they would expand to 250 locations in the Bay Area and depending on their success there than McDonald’s might have expanded them further. Well, it seems like the trial has been going well as they’ve completely sold out of their allocation at the four trial restaurants. That’s good news as it means they might eventually roll them out worldwide, so we might actually get to sample them over here.

Other good news is that they actually look like what they’re advertised to look like for once, which is kind of a first for McDonald’s. That’s at least judging by these photos from Instagram, assuming they weren’t planted:

Mmmmm. I think these are probably the best new menu item that McDonald’s has added in probably the whole history of McDonald’s? I mean it certainly beats the Filet-O-Fish right? Hopefully they take the hint and start serving these worldwide because we could all do with some of them, I’m sure you’ll agree -especially after a big night out.

Check out these new burgers that McDonald’s are soon to debut as well – seems like they’re going through a real menu revolution.
