Maps are kinda interesting and useful if you want to go somewhere or need to know where somewhere is. This map is great for other reasons though because it’s based around a whole bunch of freaky statistics and lets you know what each country is better at than all others.
So you’ve got Canada which is best at asteroid impacts, Cambodia which has the longest alphabet and the Democratic Republic of Congo which has the largest population of pygmy chimpanzees, amongst other crazy statistics. The map was produced by Doghouse Diaries and the web comic artist Ray Yamartino who offered the following comment explaining his motivation for designing it: ‘Most countries lead the world in something.Sometimes good things, sometimes not so good things, and sometimes funny things. This map shows what each country does best compared to all other countries.’
