Last week we wrote about the head case who got catfished into believing he was dating Katy Perry for six years. He even thought she was hiding secret messages for him in her songs.

Obviously, it wasn’t her. But in what could prove to be a massive error on her part, Katy Perry decided to speak out on Spencer Morrill after hearing about him online.

Yeah, someone sent me a link and I didn’t actually read through it because I just think it’s really unfortunate and very sad.

My heart goes out to him. People have dreams and people live in different parts of the world where not everything is so accessible. We live on the coasts and we get stuff in a way that some other people don’t get, and I feel bad for him. So I didn’t really like to indulge in that because my heart would die.

Was this Spencer’s plan all along? To have this insane story go viral and guarantee Katy Perry would notice him and respond? I wouldn’t put it past him – the story was way too crazy to be true. Here we are thinking Spencer Morrill is this gullible loser who got catfished into believing he was dating a famous pop star, when really he’s a genius who made the whole thing up to get Katy Perry’s attention.

Is there another part to his plan that has yet to materialise? Let’s hope he doesn’t get any ideas from the fan who jumped on stage and grabbed Katy Perry’s tit that one time.
