After footage emerged of journalist Petra Laszlo tripping over a refugee emerged last month, Petra Laszlo was the most hated woman in the world. Now she wants to claim that title back.

A couple of months back, some pretty astonishing footage of a journalist rushing after refugees and intentionally tripping them up in Hungary spread like virtual wildfire. Within 24 hours, despite being sacked from her job for “unacceptable behaviour” Petra Laszlo had become a household name, sandwiched between Rupert Murdoch and Katie Hopkins at number 13 in Time Magazine’s Top 100 biggest nobbers of the year. However, it doesn’t seem like number 13 is good enough for the maligned journalist, as she has today announed plans to sue one of the refugees she tripped over and social network Facebook alike.

Despite currently being involved in a criminal trial for her behaviour, she’s looking to file two lawsuits herself. Laszlo told Russian newspaper Izvestia that she intends to sue Facebook because it allegedly refused to remove groups threatening her while deleting those that showed her support, but the second suit is all the more surprising. According to Mashable, she’s looking to sue Osama Abdul Mohsen, the refugee in the infamous footage.
