John Gotti is one of the most legendary figures in New York crime history and so it makes sense that a movie detailing his life story starring some big names would be right around the corner, given the world’s fascination with true crime stories as of late. Actually, it would probably make more sense to do it as a TV series, but you get what I’m trying to say.

Anyway, John Travolta is the star and the movie is Gotti, which brings us three decades of Gotti’s life as he ascends to the role of the Teflon Don within the Gambino Crime Family. Narrated by his son, it tells the story of Gotti and his wife trying to hold the family together despite multiple prison sentences, multiple tragedies and a hell of a lot of backstabbing.

Just another day for Gotti really:

Geez, looks like he’s got a tonne of problems to deal with there doesn’t it, but also like he’s having a hell of a lot of fun sorting them all out. Kinda looks like Travolta was born to play the role from the clips we’re seeing too, so this might end up being his last great hurrah before his hair and face finally give up on him. Excited for it.
