JIM CARREY SINGS RADIOHEAD’S CREEP

This is pretty crazy and I have no idea why it has happened, but a couple of days ago Jim Carrey performed a version of Radiohead’s Creep – complete with a backing band – at some bar in New York City. I think the bar was called Arlene’s Grocery judging by the backdrop of the video. Arlene’s Grocery is a pretty dumb name for a bar if you ask me. I mean you’re just gonna think it’s a grocery store right, even if Jim Carrey is there

Anyway, Jim Carrey rocked up and sang a cover of Radiohead’s Creep. It was weird. I don’t know why Jim Carrey would do that – does Jim Carrey have a new movie coming out soon or something? Surely Mr Popper’s Penguins – which looked like the best Jim Carrey movie in years, which I unfortunately failed to check out at the cinema – only came out a couple of months ago right? (Was Mr Popper’s Penguins a good Jim Carrey movie, could anyone who saw it let me know?) Surely there isn’t a new Jim Carrey movie coming out any time soon? He doesn’t seem to make them as often as he used to now, and they generally tend to suck when he does.

In any case, despite the fact that I don’t know why Jim Carrey decided to rock up to Arlene’s Grocery (which whilst writing this I discovered was New York hipster bar, obviously) and perform a cover of Radiohead’s Creep, I gotta admit that the dude pretty much nailed it. I mean I’m not a big Radiohead fan but that’s a pretty good one, and I would say it’s pretty suprising that Jim Carrey can pull it off. The fact that Jim Carrey is singing it makes it all the more poignant too, because I mean come on – everyone knows Jim Carrey is a weirdo. Check out the video below and let me know what you think:
