According to research carried out by YouGov and reported on by The Times, the typical Jeremy Corbyn supporter is prone to depression and doesn’t eat meat.

In fact, to go into more detail, the most representative member of Jezza’s following is a middle-class Welsh man in his early 20s who works for a charity. Their keenest political interests include the NHS, homelessness and climate change, as well as the worry that we all live under the control of a political elite. Sounds about right to me.

When it comes to personal interests, the typical Corbyn supporter spends a lot of time on the internet. And when they’re not doing this, they like to write and are keen on Stephen Fry, David Attenborough and Eddie Izzard.

It’s quite impressive how much detail is provided by this study. While it states that they are most likely vegetarian, it also shows that their diets are far from boring. This pool of people tend to enjoy a wide range of foods, anything from dal and curries to veggie bangers and mash. Oh yeah, and most of them are female.

Coming from a Jeremy Corbyn supporter, I can say that I pretty much fit the bill with the entire list of traits – except I’m not Welsh. So well done YouGov – you seem to have hit the nail on the head.
