A 28 year old Austrian dude named Alex Simon was amazed when he stepped onto his flight from Manila to Boracay in the Philippines as he was the only person on the whole entire flight.

It was basically just him and two pilots and two flight attendants and he got to sit wherever he wanted and do whatever he wanted on the plane, including meet the pilot. He also shot a three minute video about his experience (which you can see below) that recently went viral despite it being filmed a year ago.

Alex had this to say about the flight:

When I arrived to the airport I just heard my name on the speaker, Sir Alexander Simon, please come to the information.

So the lady explained to me that I don’t need to wait two more hours on my connecting flight, we’re gonna start in 30 minutes because there are no more passengers except me.

I was little bit surprised and I couldn’t believe it. I thought I was dreaming. Later while boarding I just realised that it’s gonna be a special flight because this time I didn´t even need to line up.

I took my seat then I asked the flight attendant lady if I can sit next to the window.

She just answered, “You can sit anywhere, because you’re the only one passenger.

It was an unforgettable feeling to take a flight to the one of the most beautiful islands of the world, but to be alone and feel like a superstar it made it more special.

I just had luck, I think, that no one else was interested on this day to fly to paradise.

Well yeah, I mean to be honest we probably all dream about flying around in our own private jet and if this ever happened to me I would be completely stoked. I think it’s got to be something like a one in a billion chance though considering how many flights there are every day and I’ve never ever heard of it happening before.

I kind of want to think this is fake though, because the fact that the guy is a travel blogger makes it seem a little fishy. I suppose the fact that it’s been on the Internet for a year and didn’t go viral until this week kinda makes it a bit more legit though. Not sure.

In any case, not sure it’s as good as this dude’s airport hacks – some really good advice for making the most of your time at the airport there.
