City commissioners in Daytona Beach, Florida have given approval to a popular indoor shooting range in the area to allow them to sell alcohol to anyone using the gun range.

Initially there were the obvious safety concerns over mixing alcohol and guns on the same premises but when the voting went down on Wednesday, it went in the favour of the guns and booze combo.

The owners of the gun range say they’re planning to turn the place into more of an up-scale restaurant/gun range rather than a dodgy bar/gun range, and they need to sell alcohol in order to make the place profitable.

They assured they’d keep a watch list of customers who might cause trouble and call police if need be. Well that’s responsible of them eh?

Obviously a completely nuts idea but at the same time, this is Florida we’re talking about. They’ve already got the most screwed up reputation in America so I guess they might as well go all in with it. No one will think any more or any less of them no matter what they do at this point. But if you want to kick the crazy levels up a notch — serving alcohol at the gun range is a good place to start.

What happens when someone inevitably gets shot in the face, you ask? Doesn’t matter – it’s Florida! That kind of stuff is supposed to happen.

Just like it’s no big deal getting your 16 year old daughter coked up and taking her to the strip club.
