The First Ever Drive By Hoverboard Shooting Has Occurred

It was only a matter of time after somebody robbed an off licence using a hoverboard that somebody was going to use one in a drive by shooting, and that’s exactly what happened over in Dallas early yesterday morning.

It went down at about 4 a.m. when a guy drove into a petrol station to fill up in his car. He says that a black dreadlocked man rode by on a hoverboard and shot him in the arm. No motive has been given for the attack.

The police showed up at the scene of the crime and canvassed the area looking for him, but the guy had managed to get away thanks to his trusty hoverboard. The victim was taken to hospital where he’s expected to make a full recovery, but the cops don’t currently have any leads on who this guy is or what he was doing rolling around on his hoverboard shooting people.

The thing about this though – other than the fact it’s completely ridiculous – is that surely rolling around on a hoverboard is actually slower than running away from the scene of a crime, and you’re probably more likely to lose your balance and fall over on it too. I can’t actually see what the advantage of utilising it in crime is, but people are doing it and getting away with it, so I guess they know something I don’t. Fair play.
