DEAD BIRD FOUND IN TESCO SALAD

Rank stories always pop up now and then that involve someone finding something in their food that shouldn’t be there. I’ve been pretty lucky enough not to have found anything totally gross in my food, but we did feature a couple of stories about some unlucky shoppers way back when we started Sick Chirpse, like the story about the woman who found a huge piece of glass in her McChicken sandwich. This story is even grosser, because it involves a dead animal, yuk.

When vegetarian Julia Flynn, from Somerset, served up a portion of Tesco’s finest fresh green salad to her and her hubby, she was met with a four-inch long dead bird’s carcass. At first Julia thought the dead bird was a leaf, so tried to chop it up with her knife and fork and was probably only moments away from chomping on the rotting lump of bones. Not surprisingly, Julia was physically sick after the incident, and now plans to chase Tesco for some compensation (and most rightly so).

So make sure you double check your fresh salads this lunch time, because you might find something like this:
