Political satirist and comic Tim Young invited his girlfriend on stage for what I guess he thought would be one of the most special moments in both of their lives. I suppose it was kind of special, just for all the wrong reasons.

A solid reminder that you should only ever do the public proposal thing if you’re 100% sure your other half will say yes. Especially in this day and age of Tinder and free spirits and increasing divorce rates. You really need to think it through massively before you go ahead with it, especially if you’re planning to do it on camera and on stage in front of hundreds of people (and later, millions on the Internet). All this guy’s hopes and dreams for the future crushed for the world to see, AND he had to finish his stand-up after to boot. Brutal.
