The Conor McGregor/Floyd Mayweather billion dollar fight has dominated headlines since the first rumours of it possibly happening emerged about a month ago. And now, one of the most respected voices in American Sports broadcasting Colin Cowherd has come out and said that it’s definitely happening – even announcing a date.

Cowherd was speaking yesterday on his weekly show ‘The Herd’ when he dropped this information:
My intel is Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is going to happen. It changed late last week… got a call then somebody else sent me something yesterday and Saturday… we’ve booked rooms in Vegas.
It’s going to be the weekend of September 17th and I don’t think it’s going to be much of a fight – it’ll be an event though.
It should be officially announced in two weeks.

Well, I don’t know how much we can’t trust this but from what I read on the internet it seems like this Colin Cowherd guy generally knows what he’s talking about. I guess we’ll find out more in two weeks – it would be amazing if this could happen in such a short time, although like Cowherd says it probably won’t be much of a fight.
Can’t wait for it though – McGregor probably needs to brush up on his boxing skills before then though.
