This week independent streaming video provider, Fullscreen, announced that it has teamed up with world-famous author Bret Easton Ellis, who will make his directorial debut with a new thriller series called ‘The Deleted’.

Here’s what the show is going to be about:

The disappearance of three seemingly unconnected people from Los Angeles triggers a collective paranoia among a group of twenty-somethings, all of whom escaped from a cult ‎several years back.

Can’t wait for this one. If any of you have read American Psycho, Rules of Attraction, Less Than Zero, Lunar Park… actually pretty much anything he has written, then you will know that he is one dark mother fucker. The fact that this is a thriller series that involves a cult just makes this that much more of an exciting prospect. Plus it will be interesting to see how Ellis works in his role as director instead of writer.

There is currently no release date so we’ll have to keep an eye on this one. As mentioned, the series will be available on Fullscreen, a new streaming video-on-demand provider which launched this week. They’ve obviously got competition with Amazon and Netflix, although subscription costs are looking pretty reasonable at $4.99 (£3.40) per month. I’d pay just to see Ellis’s series to be fair.
