Not only is ‘Groundhog Day’ one of the greatest films of the 90s, but it’s also a Bill Murray favourite to this day.

For those of you who haven’t seen it (are you mad?) the plot involves Murray’s character Phil being forced to relive the same day over and over again.

In what is either a very funny joke or an amusing accident from Murray (I’m guessing the former) the actor ended up going to see the same ‘Groundhog Day’ show two nights in a row.

Yesterday reports stated that Murray was spotted the night before attending Broadway’s ‘Groundhog Day’ musical, which he enthusiastically enjoyed, loudly cheering and giving a speech to the cast. He also stood for selfies with fans and tipped a waiter $50 for a glass of water. Legend.

He enjoyed it so much that he decided to go and see the exact same show the next day. He even told the theatre that he might return for another viewing. It looks like Murray’s set on reliving his ‘Groundhog Day’ over and over again, although this time he’s doing it willingly.
