Yesterday we posted a video of this girl basically hijacking someone else’s Uber ride, attacking the driver, kicking him in the bollocks, getting in his car and refusing to budge. It was pretty wild behaviour to say the least.

Here’s a reminder:

The woman has since been identified as 30-year-old Dr. Anjali Ramkisoon, a fourth-year neurology resident employed by Jackson Health System. Her employer released this statement earlier today:

Anjali Ramkissoon, a fourth-year neurology resident employed by Jackson Health System, has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately, and removed from all clinical duties. Jackson has launched an internal investigation. The outcome of the investigation will determine if any disciplinary action will be taken, up to and including termination.

Ouch. She also seems to have deleted her Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram accounts in response to the backlash.

So obviously going off that video this girl is a terrible person who deserves some kind of punishment, but at the same time, I don’t know, isn’t ruining her entire life and career a bit OTT? I mean this girl’s whole world just got completely annihilated because of a YouTube video. What if she was a good neurosurgeon? What if she could save/improve lives someday? Just seems a bit harsh is all.

One thing’s for sure — Internet justice can be downright ruthless sometimes.
